Confluence Humanistic Journal
Pittsburgh, PA, United States
The Confluence Humanistic Journal is unique in its approach because its primary intention is to foster better writing and research skills among undergraduate and graduate students by temporarily accepting submissions, extending the process of editing and revision, and giving students the chance to improve their work. The journal editors are students themselves. Students submitting manuscripts are given the opportunity to learn from their classmates and students who are editing improve their skills. We desire works with a special emphasis on qualitative action research, social activism, urban, political-cultural, multimedia (art, music, film, poetry), and critical analysis. Preference is given to research projects, theoretical papers, essays, poetry and artwork that address the current and everyday concerns of people. Works may outline, creatively or concretely, ways toward social action, activism, and liberation. We allow rolling submissions and produce print versions of the journal when submissions reach the quality and quantity needed.
